One thing that draws me to Prague is the diversity in its architecture. I could wander around and around for hours just looking up. My favourite buildings are the art nouveau ones with their beautifully painted facades. If you’re a big art nouveau fan, I’d suggest going to the Mucha Museum for a visit. I didn’t have enough time, and only wandered through the gift shop. I really like his works of art and a visit to the museum is in store for me the next time I going to Prague.

I wish I knew more about architecture and the differences between all the styles found in Prague, but I don’t. I’ll let these photos speak for me.

Thanks Corinne! I wish I had taken more photos of all the gorgeous buildings, but I was too busy admiring them in real time.

I Adelina, I’m sorry you don’t really like Prague because it’s one of my favourite cities. I love the architecture which is unusual for a European city because nothing was destroyed during the war. I love the mediaeval and art deco houses as well. We were there in September which was just perfect.

You’re right. The city is fairly intact and virtually has no damage from the war which is fabulous. I hope things continue to stay that way with everything being conserved.

    Ah, memories of Praha!

People often don’t know or forget that the Allied Forces bombed Prague on February 14, 1945, likely mistaken for Dresden. 🙁

It still seems to have come out of the war relatively unscathed which is nice for travelers now 🙂

Beautiful buildings. Prague and Vienna are high on my list of places I want to go to see old-world European architecture!

Definitely – Vienna has the grand royal looking buildings and the ones in Prague are so intricate and beautifully painted.

It really is! I would be looking up the whole time I’m in the city.
